The Melting Pot

The Melting Pot

Our Perspective on the Melting Pot

The meaning we ascribe to The Melting Pot is the idea that people from other nations become a part of America because they love what the USA stands for as it relates to our freedoms that come from God and are protected by our LAW (the US Constitution).

Inclusion over Diversity

The American Melting Pot is comprised of people from all over the world that come here to participate in such a way as to be included in American way of life rather than isolated from it.

Diversity is NOT Isolation

We can be very different from one another and retain aspects of our unique cultures and our family's traditions and still enjoy friendship and harmony as Americans.

Exceptions to this Rule

There are a few necessary exceptions to this rule.  Some practices of some cultures simply CANNOT BLEND in with American values.

Here are a few examples:

  1. Cannibalism.  To some cultures, cannibalism is acceptable.  This will not work with America.
  2. Female Genital Mutilation.  This is considered a crime here.
  3. Sharia Law.  Sharia Law is NOT compatible with a free society.

The melting pot is a monocultural metaphor for a heterogeneous society becoming more homogeneous, the different elements "melting together" with a common culture, or vice versa, for a homogeneous society becoming more heterogeneous through the influx of foreign elements with different cultural backgrounds, possessing the potential to create disharmony within the previous culture. Historically, it is often used to describe the cultural integration of immigrants to the United States.[1]

The melting-together metaphor was in use by the 1780s.[2][3] The exact term "melting pot" came into general usage in the United States after it was used as a metaphor describing a fusion of nationalities, cultures and ethnicities in the 1908 play of the same name.

The desirability of assimilation and the melting pot model has been rejected by proponents of multiculturalism,[4][5] who have suggested alternative metaphors to describe the current American society, such as a mosaic, salad bowl, or kaleidoscope, in which different cultures mix, but remain distinct in some aspects.[6][7][8] The melting pot continues to be used as an assimilation model in vernacular and political discourse along with more inclusive models of assimilation in the academic debates on identity, adaptation and integration of immigrants into various political, social and economic spheres.[9]

If you live in the USA and you love America, but you were born in another country, you are potentially the heart and soul of Melting Pot Patriots.

Most people come to America (the land of the free) for that specific reason: FREEDOM.  This is likely why you are here as well.

We say "Potentially" because membership in our private network is not for everyone.  If you do not embrace traditional family values and a pro-life position, our network is not for you.

We KNOW that most of you do, so we look forward to welcoming you into our private membership.

First generation Melting Pot Patriots are hard-working people that were born in other countries and now live in the United States of America.

Traditional Family Values

Traditional Family Values

Melting Pot Patriots are hard-working people that embrace traditional family values which have been long-held by every people group on every continent in the world, regardless of their religion.

They believe in the absolute necessity of what is known as "the nuclear family."

They believe that a marriage is a relationship between one man and one woman that will naturally result in having children that will be trained and taught primarily by their parents: a father and a mother.

They believe that the very best environment to provide for children is to nurture them in a family where a mother and father provide love and discipline, which is the very environment that will most likely ensure the vocational success of their children as well as people that will respect others and obey the legitimate laws of the land in which they live.

It is Simply UnCommon Sense

We would like to say it is common sense, but it seems it is not so common anymore.

Many would say that it is "old-fashioned"- that would be one of the gentler ways they would describe it.  We will insist that you can only juxtapose the "new-fangled" social experiment that has resulted in single-parent families or same-sex marriages.

From our perspective, almost every unsavory issue we are encountering today can be directly attributed to the breakdown of traditional family values in this great "one nation under God."

Gender Madness

We accept the reality that there are only two genders: male and female.

The idea that a gender can be separated from biological sexuality is ridiculous and we outright reject this notion.

Psychological Torment and Emotional Confusion

We are saddened by the fact that there are persons that will go as far as to try and have their physical sexual function changed via surgeries and hormonal treatments.

We do not despise such persons, neither do we think this should even be offered as a medical procedure.  It is a mutilation of the design of God the Creator, who, in the beginning created male and female for the purpose of companionship and procreation.

Citizens & Lovers of America that Want to Become Citizens

Melting Pot Patriots are hard-working people that love what the United States of America fundamentally stands for: liberty and justice for all.

The Statue of Liberty that stands in New York harbor bears the following poem:

The New Colossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand

A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand

Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Emma Lazarus
November 2, 1883

The poem by Emma Lazarus was affixed to the monument in 1903.
